Ammonites are an extinct subclass of cephalopods, whose present-day descendants include the octopus, squid and nautilus. Ammonites lived from approximately 400 to 65 million years ago (late Cretaceous). Their well-preserved fossilized shells are found today, and are often cut and polished. Small ammonites are often used in jewelry designs, while large pieces are highly prized by collectors and also as display keepsakes.

Traditional properties of ammonite include stimulus to architects and those in the fields of construction. It provides for insight to the basis from which to start and allows one to retain the “whole picture” from conception to use. Ammonite is a protective, giving stability and structure to one’s life.
