Moonstone

Quartz Point Crystal Clusters

As the Earth’s most abundant mineral, quartz is also one of the most resistant minerals to weathering. Quartz, which forms as a later mineral in igneous rocks, weathers to particles which form sedimentary rocks such as sandstone. Crystals are typically six-sided or “hexagonal”, and often terminated by a hexagonal pyramid. The finest crystals are prized for their clarity, and some crystals have been found many feet long. Cryptocrystalline varieties of quartz include agates and jaspers. Colored varies of quartz include amethyst, citrine, ametrine, rose quartz, smoky quartz, and milky quartz.

The word quartz is thought to come from the German word "quarz", but the origin of that word is not known. The word crystal, however, comes from the Greek word "krystallos" which means ice.
Quartz can be icy clear or have inclusions, veils, bubbles, and various colors. Visual clarity normally isn't important to quartz’s energetic quality and ability to amplify subtle energies.

Quartz is a power stone and has been called the "Universal Crystal" because of its many uses. It enhances energy by absorbing, storing, amplifying, balancing, focusing and transmitting. It channels universal energy. Quartz also enhances thoughts, as they are a form of energy. Because it directs and amplifies energy, it is extremely beneficial for manifesting, healing, meditation, protection, and channeling. It is also beneficial for storing and retrieving information of all types, as information is a form of energy pattern also. Fossils in the Big

Just a little something for the office, home or gift for someone special.  Orthoceras fossil tower (this is a tall one too) and a huge hand carved swirl sculpture.

Orthocears fossil are squids form the Sahara; in these shells lived orthoceras, an ancient moolusk whose fossil shells are found and polished in the Sahara Desert of Morocco. In the Devonian geologic period, some 350 million years ago, these ocean dwellers, reaching a length of up to 6 feet, swam in an ocean which covered the area. After death, their shells were preserved in the black marble where they are found today. They moved by ejecting water through an opening and by moving their tentacles. The tentacles caught food while their parrot-shaped beaks cut the food up.

Soft Delicate Rose Quartz

 
Rose quartz, a variety of quartz that ranges from pale pink to deep rose, and sometimes even to an amethyst hue. Generally, rose quartz is massive in form and is rarely found as crystals. It is sometimes used as a semiprecious stone, and takes an impressive polish. Chemically, rose quartz is silicon dioxide. It has a Moh’s hardness of 7, and is in the trigonal crystal system. Rose quartz occurs worldwide; in the western hemisphere it occurs in Brazil, Uruguay, Ontario, Mexico, Main, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.

It emits a calming, cooling energy which can work on all of the chakras to gently remove negativity and to reinstate the loving, gentle forces of self-love. It can be used for spiritual attunement to the energy of love. It also provides a balancing of yin-yang energy and can attune each chakra to, and provide each chakra with, the proper frequency of energy vibration.
