Orthocears fossil are squids form the Sahara; in these shells lived orthoceras, an ancient moolusk whose fossil shells are found and polished in the Sahara Desert of Morocco. In the Devonian geologic period, some 350 million years ago, these ocean dwellers, reaching a length of up to 6 feet, swam in an ocean which covered the area. After death, their shells were preserved in the black marble where they are found today. They moved by ejecting water through an opening and by moving their tentacles. The tentacles caught food while their parrot-shaped beaks cut the food up.

Soft Delicate Rose Quartz

 
Rose quartz, a variety of quartz that ranges from pale pink to deep rose, and sometimes even to an amethyst hue. Generally, rose quartz is massive in form and is rarely found as crystals. It is sometimes used as a semiprecious stone, and takes an impressive polish. Chemically, rose quartz is silicon dioxide. It has a Moh’s hardness of 7, and is in the trigonal crystal system. Rose quartz occurs worldwide; in the western hemisphere it occurs in Brazil, Uruguay, Ontario, Mexico, Main, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.

It emits a calming, cooling energy which can work on all of the chakras to gently remove negativity and to reinstate the loving, gentle forces of self-love. It can be used for spiritual attunement to the energy of love. It also provides a balancing of yin-yang energy and can attune each chakra to, and provide each chakra with, the proper frequency of energy vibration. Traditional properties of rose quartz include love, peace, happiness, gentleness, and healing emotional wounds.

Rare Unusual Mysterious Ammonite Fossils

Ammonites are an extinct subclass of cephalopods, whose present-day descendants include the octopus, squid and nautilus. Ammonites lived from approximately 400 to 65 million years ago (late Cretaceous). Their well-preserved fossilized shells are found today, and are often cut and polished. Small ammonites are often used in jewelry designs, while large pieces are highly prized by collectors and also as display keepsakes.

Traditional properties of ammonite include stimulus to architects and those in the fields of construction.  It provides for insight to the basis from which to start and allows one to retain the “whole picture” from conception to use.  Ammonite is a protective, giving stability and structure to one’s life.  It can eliminate the caustic attributes and can transform negativity into a smooth, flowing energy.

Celestite Heaven's Stone

Celestite also known as the celestial or heavenly stone, received its name from the celestial blue color in its crystals. 

Celestite is a strontium sulfate distinguished by its high specific gravity (density), tubular crystals that resemble barite, relative softness and transparency to translucency. Found in sedimentary deposits, veins and cavities, it is often associated with minerals such as gypsum and dolomite. Most of the fine specimens today come from Madagascar.
